Does Ancile send my documentation anywhere?
No. Everything you document is stored and processed on your device. It leaves the app only when you export it yourself. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does Ancile ask for camera access?
So it can read serial and asset-tag text from a photo and scan recall markers. What the camera sees is processed on your device and never sent off it. You can change this in iOS Settings.
Does Ancile store my customers' passwords or log in to their equipment?
No. Ancile is a documentation tool, not a password vault. It never asks for system credentials and makes no connection to the gear you document.
How do I get my documentation out of the app?
Export it as a CSV, Excel, or PDF file, which you can then save or share. Your data is yours to take with you at any time.
